Product Description
The H420500 encoder is a practical part for motors working mechanically in industrial automation. The encoder is built by Danaher , a firm renowned for its user-friendly design and sturdy products that work efficiently.
The H420500 encoder is an aluminum-bodied unit with a flange-mounted rotary design to measure the position or speed of a rotating shaft. The encoder maintains longevity through its capability to deal with vibrations at 20G and operates within a specific temperature range from 0°C to 70°C. When used for storage it functions within a temperature range from a lowest value of -40°C to 90°C. Its stainless-type steel shaft is about 9.5 mm in diameter and is already installed by using a 7-pin MS-style connector for its electrical connection. The encoder is enclosed in sensing technology of optical which aids in producing incremental signals to help track motion. It reaches EN61326-1 certification for electrical noise protection. The Mylar-made internal disk component of the encoder system weighs about 2.3 pounds. It protects both short circuits and reverse polarity connections. Its signal maintains a standard operating cycle between 45% and 55% which is common for this encoding method.
The H420500 encoder involves IP54 ranking which protects the housing from dust while allowing resistance to non-condensing moisture up to 98%. The connector on this unit extends in a straight direction from its end surface to provide convenient connection ease. It has 500 pulses per revolution of resolution which means it sends out 500 signals for each full turn of the shaft. It supports input and output voltages between 5 volts and 26 volts DC and can rapidly work up to a speed of 7200 RPM and handle signal frequencies to a maximum of 100 kilo Hertz.
