The Danaher H420120 Shafted Encoder is a precision engineered device manufactured for motion control applications. This encoder provides accurate position and speed feedback for industrial systems. This H420120 shafted encoder features a 3/8 inch stainless steel shaft that supports a maximum shaft speed of 7200 RPM. Shaft loading is rated at 80 lbs radial and 80 lbs axial at 0.25 inches from the encoder face. The shaft runout is maintained at 0.001 inches TIR. The moment of inertia of this model is 3.0 x 10⁻⁴ oz-in-sec². It weighs 13 oz that makes it lightweight for easy installation. The housing and cover of this encoder are made of aluminum for durability while the internal disc is constructed from Mylar. This encoder operates with an input voltage range of 5 to 26 VDC and a maximum current draw of 90 mA excluding output loads. This Dynapar series encoder delivers incremental optical output with resolutions ranging from 1 to 600 PPR (pulses per revolution). Accuracy is ± 7.5 arc min in the worst case scenario from one edge to any other edge.
This H420120 shafted encoder is terminated using a 7 pin MS3102E-16S-1P style MS connector. It is compatible with the mating connector style MS3106A-16S-1S (MCN-N5). The robust termination ensures secure and reliable connections in industrial setups. This encoder’s push pull and differential outputs provide enhanced signal integrity over longer cable distances. These outputs also allow direct interface with a wide range of controllers and signal processing units. Its fast signal transition characteristics support accurate detection in dynamic environments.
