Product Description:
The 608555-0030 is a preassembled encoder cable manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Designed for industrial automation, this cable assembly links a field-mounted encoder to an interface in a control cabinet, allowing feedback data to reach a PLC or motion controller with stable signal transmission. The integrated connectors reduce the wiring work required between the sensing device and the plant network. Its preterminated design also removes the need to attach individual connector contacts during installation.
One end of the assembly carries an M12 D-coded male connector with a 4-pin interface for the encoder signal pair and power lines. At the opposite end, a shielded RJ45 plug permits direct connection to a compatible Ethernet switch or drive port without an adapter module. The cable uses stranded conductors sized at 24 AWG, balancing routing flexibility with the current-carrying capacity required for encoder supply circuits. Its overall length is 30 m, allowing sensors to be mounted remotely on conveyors, gantries, and other automated equipment without intermediate junction boxes. The conductor arrangement and shielding help control impedance and attenuation over the cable run. These characteristics support feedback communication over a 100 Mb industrial Ethernet connection while limiting interference from nearby equipment and power wiring.
The PVC jacket is suitable for a maximum continuous conductor temperature of +80 °C and remains pliable at temperatures as low as -40 °C. The product is classified as a cable assembly and arrives with both connectors installed, removing the need for on-site crimping or separate connector selection. Its broad operating range supports routing through heated enclosures, unconditioned storage areas, and machinery exposed to substantial temperature changes. The jacket protects the internal conductors and insulation from routine handling during installation. Shielding around the signal path helps reduce the effect of electromagnetic noise, while the completed connector arrangement provides a direct transition between the encoder and network interface. The long cable reach also gives installers flexibility when routing around machine frames, guarded areas, and moving equipment without adding another connection point.
