Product Description:
The 1400607-0025 belongs to the Dynapar Encoder Cables series supplied by Danaher. It is a purpose-built interconnect that joins shaft or hollow-shaft encoders to drive or PLC terminals, carrying incremental signal pairs and the auxiliary supply required for position feedback devices in automated machinery. The product is delivered as a pre-terminated cable assembly, eliminating the need to terminate individual conductors in the field. This configuration also reduces the number of intermediate connections between the encoder and the control equipment.
The assembly spans 25 ft, providing ample length for routing between the transducer and control cabinet without additional junctions. At the encoder end, a sealed and keyed 6-pin layout is implemented through an MS-style MS connector (female), maintaining proper pin alignment with standard Dynapar feedback housings. The cable contains four leads that support typical A, B, and Z channel outputs together with a common reference. The shield uses a separate drain path, which helps keep electrical noise away from the active conductors and preserves the integrity of low-level feedback signals.
Opposite the encoder coupling, the cable terminates in insulated flying leads that permit direct connection to screw or spring terminals inside the drive enclosure. A continuous foil and braid layer creates a shielded enclosure around the conductors, reducing electromagnetic interference when the cable shares routing trays with motor or solenoid wiring. The conductors use tinned copper in 22 AWG and 24 AWG sizes, balancing voltage-drop requirements with the flexibility needed for installation. Integrated mechanical strain relief limits stress where the cable enters the connector, while color-coded insulation allows each conductor to be matched with the appropriate terminal shown in the machine wiring diagram.
