Product Description:
The 1400607-0020 cable is produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It is a preassembled encoder cord set intended to link a shaft-mounted Dynapar sensor to a control cabinet interface. By supplying a ready-terminated mating plug on the encoder side and open conductors on the controller side, the model speeds installation, reduces wiring errors, and maintains signal integrity in industrial automation lines, motion stages, and packaging equipment that rely on accurate position feedback.
On the device end, a female MS connector with 6 keyed contacts mates directly with the standard circular receptacle found on many Dynapar incremental encoders. The internal pin layout carries channels A, B, index, and power through 4 color-coded conductors, while the remaining positions support common and drain paths. Those conductors are bundled in a braid and foil wrap that provides shielding against electrical noise from nearby motors and contactors. Current capacity and flexibility are balanced through mixed-size conductors, with power pairs made from 22 AWG and 24 AWG strands to limit voltage drop across typical machine-length runs. At the controller end, each core has a stripped and tinned finish, allowing direct insertion into screw terminals or spring-cage blocks without additional wire preparation.
The non-encoder side is supplied with flying leads, so the jacket can be cut to a custom length inside the enclosure and each wire can be routed to the appropriate terminal strip. PVC insulation supports continuous service up to +105 °C, enabling use near drives or servo brakes, while remaining flexible down to -20 °C on unheated factory floors. The broad operating temperature range allows the cable to remain flexible in cold areas while tolerating elevated temperatures near powered equipment. Its shielding and rugged jacket help preserve precise encoder signals amid the electrical interference and physical demands commonly present in industrial plants.
