Product Description:
The 1400431-0015 feedback lead is a preassembled cable supplied by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It connects a rotary encoder mounted on a motor shaft to control electronics that process position and speed data. The cable is suitable for industrial automation cells, packaging lines, and material-handling systems where dependable incremental feedback is required. Its ready-to-connect design eliminates on-site soldering and helps preserve signal integrity across the fixed cable run.
At the encoder interface, the unit terminates in a female MS connector with a threaded circular shell that resists loosening under vibration and shields the contact pins. The opposite end has flying leads, allowing each conductor to connect directly to screw, spring, or crimp terminals without an intermediate plug. The connector provides seven populated contacts for the required electrical connections. The cable contains six insulated leads for the encoder channels and their complementary signals. Its factory-cut length of 15 ft provides a known routing distance for cable trays, control cabinets, and machine frames without requiring field trimming.
The wiring supports a 7-pin line-driver differential output, allowing paired conductors to transmit complementary logic levels that reject common-mode electrical noise from servos, contactors, and nearby power cables. Classified as a cable assembly, the harness has a prepared outer jacket and tinned conductor ends that are ready for termination at the controller. The 22 AWG conductors provide flexibility for routing while maintaining low resistance for encoder signals and power connections. Color-coded leads simplify identification when the conductors are connected according to the applicable Danaher encoder pinout. The differential arrangement helps maintain clear incremental feedback when the cable is installed near switching equipment or other sources of electromagnetic interference.
