Product Description:
The 1400431-0010 is an encoder feedback cable manufactured by Danaher and supplied under the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It carries incremental or absolute position signals, index signals, and supply lines between a Dynapar shaft encoder and a motion controller inside an industrial cabinet. The factory-terminated assembly reduces field wiring and maintains shielding continuity for noise-sensitive automation equipment, including assembly stations, rotary tables, and material-handling systems. Its preassembled design also limits the number of separate connections required between the encoder and controller.
The cable is supplied in a fixed length of 10 ft, allowing the encoder to be positioned within small and medium-sized machine frames without excessive slack. Each conductor is sized at 22 AWG, balancing electrical capacity with the flexibility needed for routing through a machine. On the encoder side, a keyed female MS connector mates directly with the corresponding sensor receptacle. Its 7-pin insert accommodates power, differential A, B, and Z channels, and a shield contact. Internally, the assembly contains six individual leads with color coding that corresponds to Dynapar wiring tables, making the conductors easier to identify during installation and continuity checks.
The cable jacket withstands ambient temperatures as low as -20 °C and as high as +80 °C. This range permits operation in unheated industrial spaces and warm control enclosures without degrading the conductor insulation. At the controller end, the cable has flying leads that can be connected to terminal blocks, pluggable spring clamps, or solder cups according to the panel design. The open lead arrangement allows each conductor to be routed to its required input or supply terminal without an additional connector adapter. Consistent conductor insulation supports separation between signal and supply circuits throughout the cable assembly. Its shielded drain-wire construction provides a continuous path for grounding the shield and helps reduce electrical interference that could affect encoder feedback.
