Product Description:
The 1400419-0025 cable is manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It is an interconnect lead set engineered to route incremental or absolute encoder feedback signals between a rotary transducer and a motion controller in industrial automation equipment. The assembly combines a round military-style plug on the encoder end with stripped conductors on the control side, allowing direct termination to terminal blocks or drive connectors while maintaining signal integrity over machine spans.
On the sensor side, the molded shell houses a female MS connector that mates with standard 10-pin Dynapar feedback ports; the shell carries gold-plated contacts that separate complementary channels, power, and the shield. The cable measures 25 ft, providing sufficient reach for mounting encoders on remote shafts without intermediate junctions while keeping loop resistance low. Its conductors are stranded copper sized at 24 AWG, a gauge selected to balance current capacity with flexibility in tight routing paths. At the controller end, the jacket is factory-prepared with flying leads, so each conductor can be trimmed to length and attached to screw or crimp terminals without special tooling.
Internally, the harness uses a differential-pair arrangement with eight insulated signal leads and a dedicated drain wire. The feedback channels are presented as fully differential pairs that improve noise immunity in electrically noisy enclosures. An overall braid and foil shield surrounds the group of 9 conductors, and the individual color-coded conductors make identification straightforward when working from schematics. The cable provides up to 8 active lines for the A, B, and Z channels and their complements, while the remaining paths accommodate the power supply and shield continuity. Polyvinyl chloride insulation allows continuous operation at temperatures up to +80 °C, supporting installation near motors or gearboxes where ambient temperatures are elevated.
