Product Description:
The 1400419-0010 is an incremental encoder interconnect cable manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It provides the signal and power link between a panel-mounted motion controller and a shaft encoder, allowing differential channel data to travel with low noise over short machine runs. The molded connector on the encoder side simplifies installation in packaging lines, indexing tables, and conveyor systems where precise position feedback is required for closed-loop control.
At the encoder end, the cable terminates in a female MS connector with a 10-pin layout, so each incremental channel, reference mark, and supply line occupies a dedicated contact to minimize crosstalk. The jacket contains 8 insulated conductors because the shield is carried separately to chassis ground, a structure that matches typical Dynapar pin assignments. Each conductor is made from 24 AWG stranded copper, balancing flexibility with current-carrying capacity for standard 5 V encoder electronics. A factory-specified length of 10 ft supports cabinet-to-motor routing without adding excessive line capacitance, keeping differential edge timing within the tolerance of high-speed counters.
The insulation system is qualified for continuous operation up to +80 °C, permitting use near motors or gearboxes that elevate ambient temperature during production shifts. On the controller side, the jacket is stripped back to flying leads, allowing direct connection to terminal blocks or solder cups when a mating plug is not specified. Differential A, B, and Z channels leave the encoder as a fully differential pair set, so the drive electronics can reject common-mode noise in electrically noisy environments. The cable’s materials and color code align with other Dynapar feedback components, which helps maintain consistent wiring practices across compatible installations.
