Product Description:
The 1400334-0020 is a pre-terminated encoder cable supplied by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It connects incremental feedback devices to downstream control hardware in automated machinery. By providing a complete assembly instead of discrete conductors, the cable simplifies installation and maintains the signal integrity required for accurate position feedback. Its preassembled termination also reduces the amount of cable preparation needed when connecting an encoder to a control cabinet or counting device.
The encoder end has a 3-pin circular female MS connector that mates directly with the receptacle on the feedback device. This connector eliminates the need to attach individual contacts in the field and provides a secure interface for the encoder signals. The conductors are sized at 22 AWG, balancing current capacity and flexibility for routing through cable carriers and control cabinets. A PVC jacket protects the internal conductors from routine handling and contact with surrounding equipment. The cable is rated for temperatures up to +75 °C, allowing it to operate near inverters and power supplies without premature insulation deterioration. The opposite end has flying leads, allowing each conductor to be connected to screw terminals, insulation-displacement blocks, or solder pads according to the controller interface. Standard Dynapar color coding keeps the individual conductors easy to identify during installation and wiring checks.
The cable is intended for use with the Series 53Z encoder family. Its dedicated conductor bundle carries incremental feedback signals while keeping the overall cable diameter suitable for confined routing spaces. The limited conductor count reduces unused wiring that could collect electrical noise near motors, drives, or switching equipment. The cable’s termination arrangement permits the connector end to attach directly to the encoder while the unterminated end accommodates different controller connection methods. Its electrical characteristics help preserve signal edges between the feedback device and the counting electronics, improving resistance to interference in industrial automation systems.
