Product Description:
The 1400334-0010 is a cable assembly manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Supplied preterminated, it provides a dedicated connection between a Dynapar rotary encoder and a drive or PLC, carrying the position or speed signals required by automated equipment. The completed assembly eliminates the need for field crimping or on-site soldering at the encoder connection. Its compact format is suitable for short in-cabinet or machine-mounted runs where routing space is limited and electrical noise must be controlled. The cable can support encoder feedback in motion systems, production machinery, and other equipment that relies on accurate rotational data.
At the encoder end, the cable is fitted with an MS connector that mates with standard circular receptacles on compatible Dynapar sensors. This connector uses a female insert and carries three leads for the signal, reference, and common connections used by simple incremental channels. A braided drain layer and foil wrap make the cable shielded, limiting radiated emissions and protecting encoder pulses from nearby electrical interference. The jacketed cable has a length of 10 ft, allowing the feedback device to be positioned inside compact machine frames without leaving excessive slack. The circular connector provides a secure interface that helps prevent accidental separation during machine vibration or movement.
At the controller end, the assembly terminates in flying leads, allowing each conductor to connect to terminal blocks, solder lugs, or removable plugs in the control panel. The individual copper cores are stripped and tinned to simplify insertion and provide a prepared surface for screw-clamped or soldered connections. Each conductor uses finely stranded 22 AWG PVC-insulated wire, which provides flexibility for routing through compact enclosures and around internal panel components. The cable is rated for continuous operation at temperatures up to +75 °C, making it suitable for typical cabinet conditions. The three-conductor arrangement keeps the controller-side wiring straightforward while the shielding helps preserve signal integrity along the entire cable run.
