Product Description:
The 1400209-0025 is an incremental encoder cable manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It links a motion feedback device to a drive or PLC, carrying position signals and auxiliary power between moving axes and stationary controls in industrial automation. The product functions as the dedicated interconnect on the encoder side of a machine, providing mechanical protection and consistent electrical characteristics along the full cable run.
Its total length is 25 ft, allowing cabinet-mounted drives to connect to motors across typical packaging or material-handling lines without splicing. The conductors are enclosed in an armored jacket that protects the core from abrasion and minor impacts. A factory-installed female MS connector is located on the encoder end. This circular coupling mates directly with standard Dynapar transducers and secures the connection with a threaded collar. Inside the shell, a 6-pin insert provides separate contacts for the power supply, common connection, and quadrature channels in accordance with the series pinout.
Connection on the controller side is simplified by the flying-lead termination, which allows the stripped and tinned ends to be landed on screw terminals or soldered to header pins as required. Signal transmission is supported by 22 AWG stranded copper conductors, which balance flexibility with low resistance across the cable run. The cable supports a single-ended encoder output, so each channel is referenced to a common connection rather than carried as a complementary pair. This arrangement reduces the wire count in space-constrained conduits. A dedicated drain conductor and separate insulation on all six leads help prevent crosstalk when high-speed counts are transmitted. The protected conductors support precise position feedback in indexing tables, gantries, packaging equipment, material-handling systems, and compact servo modules where dependable signal transfer is required during repeated machine operation.
