Product Description:
The 112860-0025 is an encoder interconnect cable supplied by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Designed for industrial automation systems, it provides a dedicated pathway between a feedback sensor and control hardware, allowing accurate position or velocity data to reach drives, PLC input modules, and motion cards. The assembly combines a molded connector at the sensor end with prepared conductors for cabinet termination, so the cable can be routed through machine frames, junction boxes, and control panels without requiring custom field-fabricated leads.
The encoder side terminates in a rugged M12 A-coded plug, which provides standardized pin orientation and a connection that resists vibration. The cable contains eight leads, allowing incremental or commutation channels to use dedicated conductors when supported by the connected encoder. Its shielded construction provides a low-impedance path for electromagnetic interference and helps preserve the edges of high-frequency encoder pulses. Each conductor has a size of 24 AWG, balancing cable flexibility with sufficient current capacity for sensor excitation and feedback signals. Cabinet wiring is simplified by stripped and tinned conductor ends, which can be inserted directly into compatible screw clamps or terminal blocks without additional preparation. The cable accommodates single-ended or differential outputs, allowing it to carry signal formats used by a range of encoder interfaces.
On the controller side, the individual conductors can be routed to terminal blocks, field headers, or custom harnesses according to the requirements of the connected control hardware. This unterminated arrangement is useful when the controller does not accept a fixed cable connector or when signal terminals are distributed across an enclosure. Power, common, and feedback conductors can be assigned according to the pinouts of the encoder and receiving device, preventing incorrect channel connections. Proper routing and termination help maintain signal timing in control cabinets that also contain electrically noisy equipment such as inverters, relays, or contactors.
