Product Description:
The 112860-0020 is a signal cable produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Designed for industrial machinery, the unit routes encoder feedback to motion controllers while maintaining electrical integrity over short cabinet runs and longer drag-chain spans. By providing a purpose-built interconnect, it simplifies installation and protects encoder outputs from electrical noise common in industrial automation. The cable’s mechanical construction fits dynamic axis loops as well as fixed enclosures, providing a consistent signal path across diverse equipment.
At the encoder interface, the cable terminates in an M12 A-coded plug that supports environmental sealing while aligning the keyed connection for secure attachment. Inside the jacket, eight leads occupy matched pairs so propagation delay remains uniform. This arrangement supports single-ended or differential channels, allowing the same assembly to carry either HTL or RS-422 waveforms. A composite braid and foil ground form a shielded enclosure that attenuates conducted and radiated interference. The 24 AWG conductors balance voltage-drop control with a bending radius suitable for energy-chain movement during repeated flexing.
On the controller side, the non-encoder end is left as individual conductors rather than terminating in a molded plug. The conductors have a stripped and tinned finish, allowing the cores to connect to terminal blocks or solder posts without additional preparation. Heat-applied shrink tubing reinforces the transition between the jacket and free leads, reducing flex stress in service loops. The cable is supplied as a pre-cut assembly, which eliminates the need for in-house connector crimping. Its keyed encoder connection, prepared free leads, and reinforced jacket transition support routing through control cabinets and moving cable carriers.
