Product Description:
The 112860-0010 is a signal-grade cable assembly produced by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It serves as the dedicated interconnect between a rotary encoder mounted on machinery and a remote servo drive or PLC that interprets position feedback. The cable carries encoder power and position signals between these devices, supporting incremental or absolute feedback in automated material-handling lines, packaging equipment, and general motion-control axes. Its prepared conductors reduce the amount of field wiring required during installation while helping maintain stable signal transmission along the cable run.
This model is supplied as a cable assembly, with conductors that are cut, jacketed, and prepared for connection. On the encoder end, an M12 A-coded connector provides a threaded circular connection that resists loosening under vibration. The connector uses an 8-pin arrangement for power, differential channels, and shielding associated with common incremental and SSI encoders. The opposite end remains open for routing into a control cabinet, where the individual conductors can be connected to terminal blocks or drive inputs. Each conductor is made from tinned copper strands sized at 24 AWG, supporting typical 5 V or 24 V encoder circuits over moderate cable distances. A section of shrink tubing reinforces the transition between the jacket and connector body, providing strain relief while protecting the cable braid and internal twisted pairs from mechanical fatigue and contaminants.
The conductor arrangement supports complementary encoder channels, an index channel, auxiliary supply lines, and the associated signal returns required by the connected feedback device. The non-encoder end is finished with discrete leads that can be routed individually to drive I/O boards or terminal connections inside an enclosure. This open-ended arrangement allows the cable to connect with control equipment that does not use a matching circular receptacle. Factory preparation also helps preserve conductor organization and shielding continuity throughout the harness. The jacket and connector transition protect the internal conductors where repeated machine vibration could otherwise place stress on the termination. The cable is suited to motion-control installations that require a threaded encoder connection at the machine and flexible individual terminations at the control cabinet.
