Product Description:
The 112859-0025 cable is produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It routes encoder feedback to motion controllers in automated machinery while helping preserve signal quality across the distance between the encoder and the control cabinet. Its factory-assembled encoder connection follows Dynapar pin assignments and reduces the need to attach a connector at the machine end. The prepared leads at the opposite end allow the cable to connect directly to controller terminals or interface hardware.
The assembly has a fixed length of 25 ft, providing sufficient reach for many motor-to-cabinet cable routes without requiring a splice. On the encoder side, an M12 A-coded connector provides keyed mating and secure attachment to compatible Dynapar devices. The cable contains five leads made from stranded copper, which provides greater routing flexibility than solid conductors. A foil-and-braid shield helps limit electromagnetic interference from nearby motor cables, drives, contactors, and other electrically noisy equipment. At the opposite end, the outer jacket is removed and the individual lead tips are stripped and tinned for connection to screw terminals or solder pads. The 22 AWG conductors balance electrical capacity with the flexibility needed for routing through machine frames, trays, and protected cable carriers.
When the connector is properly mated, it provides IP67 ingress protection against dust and temporary water exposure. Signal transmission uses a single-ended topology, allowing the conductors to carry encoder channels, an index signal, supply power, and the common connection without differential receivers. The connector shell contains 5 pins, with each contact corresponding to an assigned lead in the cable assembly. Thermoplastic insulation on each conductor is rated for temperatures up to +105 °C, supporting operation in warm electrical enclosures and near equipment that produces heat. The jacket and internal shielding also help protect the signal path when the harness is routed alongside other machine wiring, although separation from high-current power conductors remains preferable where space permits.
