Product Description:
The 112859-0010 is a dedicated feedback cable produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It links a rotating encoder to the control cabinet, transmitting incremental or absolute position data along with supply power. A preterminated pigtail on the field end supports direct wiring, while a circular connector provides a secure connection at the sensor. This arrangement reduces wiring time and helps preserve signal integrity in industrial automation systems such as servo axes, packaging equipment, and material-handling cells.
On the encoder side, the cable terminates in an M12 A-coded plug, which uses a keyed interface to prevent misalignment during connection. The connector has a 5-pin pattern for typical channel A, channel B, index, and supply references. Five color-coded cores inside the jacket keep the individual signal paths separated and make each conductor easier to identify during wiring. The cable has an ingress protection rating of IP70. Each conductor uses flexible, stranded 22 AWG copper and supports the 100 mA loads commonly associated with optical encoders. The field end consists of pre-tinned leads that can be landed directly on compatible spring or screw terminals without proprietary adapters.
The insulation system withstands continuous exposure to temperatures up to +105 °C, allowing the cable to be routed near brake resistors or inside sealed motor housings when other installation limits are observed. Because the conductor set is unshielded, it should be separated from high-energy power cabling to reduce the risk of crosstalk and electrical interference. Short encoder runs commonly used on servo axes can also help limit noise exposure when the cable follows an appropriate route. Compatible glands and strain-relief clips can secure the cable near entry points and prevent repeated movement from reaching the terminations. The color-coded conductors also simplify point-to-point checks when the cable is connected to cabinet terminals.
