Product Description:
The 112859-0005 is an encoder interconnection cable produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. The assembly is intended for servo drives, PLC cards, and feedback modules that rely on incremental or absolute encoder signals for closed-loop motion control. Its factory-terminated sensor interface reduces wiring time in conveyors, packaging machines, and material-handling cells that require reliable position feedback. The completed cable also avoids the inconsistent conductor preparation that can occur when encoder connections are assembled at the machine.
At the encoder end, the cable is fitted with an M12 A-coded plug that secures the shield and ensures correct keying during installation. A physical reach of 5 ft allows junction boxes or drives to be placed close to the sensor while limiting signal attenuation. The overmolded body and jacket have an IP69 rating, so the assembly tolerates high-pressure washdowns and chemical cleaners commonly present in food or pharmaceutical plants. Inside the sheath, the stranded 22 AWG conductors balance flexibility with low voltage drop across the short run. Heat-resistant insulation rated for +105 °C permits continuous service near motors or gearboxes that radiate significant heat. The molded connector body also supports a secure cable entry where repeated handling could otherwise place stress on the internal terminations.
The controller side of the cable terminates in stripped and tinned leads, allowing the conductors to connect to terminal blocks, spring clamps, or custom connector inserts. Signal organization remains straightforward because the assembly carries 5 leads that correspond directly to the encoder plug’s 5 pins. This matching arrangement reduces the risk of wiring errors when the cable is connected to a control cabinet or feedback module. The available conductors accommodate the A, B, Z, reference, and common lines used by the encoder interface. Tinned conductor ends resist strand separation during termination and provide a clean contact surface for secure electrical connections. The combination of a molded sensor connector and unterminated controller-side leads allows the cable to support fixed encoder hardware while accommodating different control-side connection methods.
