Product Description:
The 112123-0015 cable is produced by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It links incremental encoders to motion controllers or PLC input cards, carrying differential quadrature signals and auxiliary power over a shielded multicore lead set. In automated conveyors, packaging lines, and robotic axes, the assembly preserves signal integrity between a rotating shaft encoder and the cabinet electronics that monitor speed or position. The shield helps protect low-level feedback signals from electromagnetic interference generated by nearby motors, contactors, and variable-frequency drives.
This model is supplied in a length of 15 ft, allowing direct runs from the encoder to the control enclosure without intermediate junctions. It is compatible with Dynapar models such as the HS20, so the mechanical fit and pin assignments match those hollow-shaft sensors. A molded back shell terminates at a 6-pin MS connector, providing a keyed, bayonet-coupled interface that resists loosening under vibration. The conductors transmit the A and B channels using differential line-driver signaling, which improves noise immunity in industrial facilities containing electrically noisy equipment. Current-carrying capacity is balanced with flexibility through 22 AWG and 24 AWG stranded conductors, allowing the cable to bend around machine frames while supporting low-loss power and signal paths.
The cable also supports installations that use the larger HS35 encoder while retaining the required shielding and conductor arrangement. The cabinet end has flying leads that can be connected to screw terminals, insulation-displacement connectors, or solder lugs according to the panel wiring arrangement. At the encoder end, a female MS connector mates directly with the corresponding connection on the sensor housing without an adapter. The cable has no index output, so it is intended for applications that require the primary quadrature channels but do not use a once-per-revolution reference pulse. Leaving the cabinet end unterminated also allows each conductor to be routed to the appropriate controller terminal without adding another connector inside the enclosure.
