Product Description:
The 112077-0020 cable belongs to the Dynapar Encoder Cables series produced by Danaher. It is supplied as an interconnect solution for AI25 absolute encoders, allowing position data to travel from the sensing head to a control cabinet without signal loss. In automated machinery, the cable simplifies encoder installation by providing the correct mating interface and conductor count for power, communication, and reference lines.
The cable is matched to the AI25 absolute encoder, so its conductor layout supports the Gray code and power channels used by the encoder’s communication electronics. Resolution support extends to 14-bit operation, which means the insulation system and shielding maintain signal integrity for serial words representing 16,384 positions per revolution. A front-end connector with a 19-pin pattern groups the channels in a keyed shell to prevent wiring errors, while a military-style MS bayonet female coupling provides quick connection and disconnection. Each conductor is made from stranded copper with a size of 24 AWG; this wire gauge balances current capacity with the flexibility needed for routing through machinery.
The connector shell has a side-mount orientation, allowing the plug to clear adjacent hardware on crowded encoder housings. The opposite end terminates in flying leads, which can be connected to terminal blocks, solder cups, or crimp contacts as required by the drive or PLC rack. Internally, the harness contains 19 leads that correspond to the connector pin map, avoiding internal splices and helping preserve signal impedance. The controlled production process maintains consistent conductor color coding, insulation wall thickness, and shield drain placement across multiple cable assemblies. These physical characteristics support orderly cable routing while reducing the possibility of incorrect field connections. The keyed connector housing also helps protect the contacts from misalignment when the cable is attached to the encoder.
