Product Description:
The 110158-0015 is an encoder interconnect cable produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It links rotary or linear feedback devices to motion controllers so that position or speed data travels reliably from the sensor to the drive. The assembly integrates a factory-installed connector on one end and field-ready conductors on the opposite end, reducing on-site wiring time in industrial automation cells. This arrangement permits the flying leads to be routed directly to terminal blocks or other control connections without requiring a second preinstalled plug.
The connector has a side-mount orientation, allowing the cable body to exit perpendicular to the mating surface and conserving depth inside tight enclosures. A securely latched female MS bayonet interface attaches to corresponding military-style receptacles and supports quick quarter-turn engagement. Internally, the insert provides 19 pins, giving discrete contacts for power, incremental channels, and auxiliary status lines. The conductors have a size of 24 AWG, balancing current capacity with the flexibility needed for routing through cable tracks. Signal integrity is reinforced by a shielded jacket that attenuates common industrial noise from sources such as variable-frequency drive switching and solenoid transients. The shielding also helps protect low-level feedback signals when the cable is installed near motor power wiring.
The unterminated end presents 18 leads that correspond to the active pins, while one cavity remains available for future feature expansion or drain-wire termination. Each lead has stripped and tinned ends that are ready for insertion into screw terminals or solder cups without additional preparation. Line drivers inside compatible encoders deliver a push-pull waveform, so the cable dielectric and conductor arrangement accommodate bidirectional current flow rather than open-collector signaling. Channel organization follows a parallel interface, carrying simultaneous binary bits to avoid serialization latency between the sensor and controller. A mating connector is supplied with the assembly. The opposite flying-lead end supports custom cutback lengths to match cabinet layouts and reach the required termination points without excessive unused cable.
