Product Description:
The 110158-0010 is an encoder extension cable manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It serves as the fixed wiring link between a rotating absolute encoder and stationary control hardware in industrial automation. The assembly carries power and multibit position signals from the sensing head to drives or PLC I/O cards, enabling accurate closed-loop feedback without field crimping or splicing. Its construction follows the pinout and electrical format used by the AI25 device family, providing electrical compatibility and a proper mechanical fit when upgrading or building motion axes.
At the encoder end, a side-mount housing secures a military-style female MS bayonet connector populated with 19 contacts. The right-angle mount lets the cable exit parallel to the encoder face and provides clearance around compact gearheads. The other end has flying leads, allowing direct termination at spring clamps or screw terminals inside a junction box. Within the PVC jacket, 18 individually insulated conductors correspond to the connector pins and support differential supply lines, clock tracks, and status bits. A mating bayonet plug is included to permit quick disconnection during service.
Stranded conductors sized at 24 AWG limit voltage drop over typical machine runs while remaining flexible enough for routed cable loops. The insulation and jacket materials permit operation at temperatures up to 80 °C and remain pliable at temperatures as low as -20 °C, covering common enclosure and plant-floor conditions. The bundle carries position words through a parallel push-pull signaling scheme, which presents low impedance to drive inputs and helps reject crosstalk between adjacent channels. This signaling arrangement supports the transmission of multiple absolute-position bits at the same time. The cable can be used in packaging, material-handling, and general automation equipment that requires absolute encoder feedback.
