Product Description:
The 108616-0015 cable assembly is supplied by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Intended to link rotary feedback devices to drives and PLC input cards, it carries incremental or absolute position signals from a mounted encoder to the control cabinet. By matching the electrical pinout and shielding practices of Dynapar hardware, the assembly maintains pulse fidelity through machine bends and drag-chain runs. This signal integrity supports accurate velocity and position control in packaging, conveying, and general motion applications.
At the encoder end, the harness mates directly with the H58 sensor family through a rugged female M23 circular connector. Twelve shell contacts are carried through the cordset, so the interface supports the complete 12-pin feedback pattern, including differential A, B, and Z channels, auxiliary power, and shield continuity. Inside the cable jacket, eight individually insulated leads, excluding the overall shield, provide twisted-pair routing that minimizes crosstalk on high-resolution quadrature outputs. The PVC insulation and jacket support a continuous conductor temperature of +105 °C, allowing the cable to be routed near motors, brakes, and other warm components without temperature-related derating.
On the controller side, the jacket terminates in flying leads, providing flexibility for connections to terminal blocks, screw clamps, or custom I/O cards. The connector uses a clockwise keying orientation, so its pin numbering aligns with standard Dynapar diagrams when the connector is viewed from the cable end. Operation is permitted at temperatures as low as -20 °C, keeping encoder feedback available during cold starts or outdoor service. Because the assembly transports raw differential pairs without internal signal conditioning, it accommodates any encoder output format once the conductors are correctly connected to the receiving device. The required mating connector is included with the cable assembly, reducing the number of separate components needed for installation.
