Product Description:
The 108615-0025 encoder cable is produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series and serves as a dedicated link between shaft encoders and motion controllers on automated equipment. By combining signal conductors and power pairs in one shielded bundle, it simplifies installation. The shielding minimizes electrical noise and helps ensure that correct direction-of-rotation information reaches the drive, supporting accurate positioning, speed regulation, and counting on packaging, material-handling, and machining lines.
This assembly is supplied in a length of 25 ft, giving enough reach for most motor-to-cabinet runs without intermediate junctions. At the encoder side, a female M23 circular connector terminates the conductors; its keyed shell protects pin alignment and maintains 360° shielding. Internally, the cable carries 10 color-coded leads sized at 22/24 AWG, so current capacity and voltage drop are appropriate for typical 5 V or 12 V encoder electronics. The mating insert provides 12 discrete contact positions, reserving extra circuits for index, alarm, or temperature channels as required. A CCW rotation-sense marker is printed on the jacket to match encoder phase conventions during hookup.
The non-encoder end is supplied with flying leads, allowing direct connection to terminal blocks, solder cups, or crimp contacts without additional adapters. Because the product is a complete cable assembly, the jacket materials, shielding, and drain wire are already integrated for electromagnetic interference suppression. The cable is compatible with the H58 and HS35 encoder families, so its pinout and shell depth match those housings. A factory-installed mating connector is included to couple the flying leads to a panel receptacle when through-bulkhead termination is preferred. This connector provides mechanical strain relief and helps maintain consistent sealing at the termination point.
