Product Description:
The 108596-0020 is a feedback cable produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Supplied as a complete assembly, it links incremental encoders to motion controllers so that position and speed data can be transmitted without signal loss. Its construction matches the electrical requirements of Dynapar encoder families used in material-handling equipment, automated palletizers, and general factory automation. The assembled design also allows a feedback connection to be extended or rerouted without requiring separate cable components.
This model supports H20 and HS35 units, so the conductor layout follows the standard pin functions for those two encoder platforms. The encoder-side termination uses a female MS connector, providing threaded coupling and sealing against oil spray while resisting separation under vibration. Internally, the bundle contains seven leads, with conductors assigned to the A, B, and Z differential outputs and the supply connection. Its shielded construction uses foil and braid layers to limit electromagnetic interference that could distort quadrature edges. Twisted pairs carry a differential line-driver signal, allowing receiving hardware to reject common-mode noise and maintain precise edge timing over cable lengths commonly used in factory installations.
The assembly has no index output, meaning the Z-channel conductors are present but unpowered when position references are generated elsewhere in the system. At the controller end, the wires have stripped and tinned ends for direct insertion into compatible screw terminals. The cable is configured with flying leads to accommodate different cabinet layouts and terminal arrangements. Its mixed conductor set uses 22 AWG and 24 AWG wires, allowing low-voltage supply conductors to share the same sheath with higher-impedance signal pairs. This combination balances current capacity and flexibility while helping the cable remain within applicable bend-radius limits in continuous-motion drag chains.
