Product Description:

The 108595-0050 is an encoder extension cable built by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It links incremental feedback devices such as H20, H58, HS35, and HA725 models to downstream drives or PLC input cards, carrying their power, signal, and reference lines without additional conditioning. By providing factory-terminated conductors on one end and user-prepared conductors on the other, the assembly simplifies field wiring between the machine frame and the control panel. This arrangement also allows the unterminated end to be cut and routed according to the equipment layout.

One end of the cable has flying leads, allowing unrestricted routing to terminal blocks or screw clamps. Encoder mating is handled by a keyed female MS connector that locks to the sensor’s threaded receptacle and protects the signal connection from vibration. The harness contains 6 leads, while the connector shell has a 7-pin pattern that leaves unused contacts available for auxiliary channels. All signal lines use a single-ended output path, matching the driver topology found on standard Dynapar incremental encoders. Stranded conductors in 22 AWG and 24 AWG sizes balance current capacity with bending flexibility. The PVC jacket protects the conductor bundle against abrasion during movement in cable chains and other routed machine assemblies.

The insulation system withstands continuous conductor temperatures up to +105 °C and remains flexible at temperatures down to -20 °C. This operating range covers typical control cabinets, factory floors, and outdoor machine locations without requiring temperature-related derating. Logic transitions are compatible with open-collector receivers as well as active push-pull interfaces, allowing the cable to support both sinking and sourcing I/O arrangements. Its electrical arrangement maintains consistent impedance, shielding, and pin mapping across the supported encoder models. Compatibility with multiple feedback devices also reduces the number of cable configurations needed in facilities that use different Dynapar incremental encoders.
