Product Description:
The 108595-0030 feedback cable is manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It provides a dedicated connection between a Dynapar rotary encoder and a compatible drive or control card in an industrial automation system. Power, signal, and reference lines share a flexible outer jacket, allowing a rotating axis to transmit position data without separately terminated conductors or additional conduit.
The assembly has a length of 30 ft, providing sufficient reach for encoder placement on medium-sized conveyors, spindles, and gantry systems while limiting voltage drop. At the encoder end, a sealed female MS connector provides a keyed bayonet interface that resists vibration and maintains pin alignment. The jacket contains 6 insulated leads for channel A, channel B, index, and supply connections. The MS connector shell has 7 contact positions, leaving one position available for an auxiliary connection or shield drain when supported by the connected equipment. The cable uses stranded 22 AWG and 24 AWG conductors to balance flexibility, current capacity, and compatibility with standard crimp contacts.
The product is supplied as a complete cable assembly, so the conductors and encoder connector do not require separate field assembly. An included mating backshell supports the encoder plug and helps protect the connector termination from mechanical strain. At the controller end, the cable uses color-coded flying leads that can connect to compatible screw terminals, clamp terminals, solder lugs, or drive headers. Signal transmission follows a single-ended signaling scheme, which uses a shared ground reference rather than differential twisted-pair cancellation. Proper shield termination and grounding help reduce electrical interference when the cable is routed near motors, contactors, or other switching equipment. This signaling arrangement is suitable for compatible legacy incremental encoders that provide unbalanced TTL or HTL output levels.
