Product Description:
The 108595-0015 is a cable assembly manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. The assembly is intended to connect rotary or linear feedback devices to drive or PLC inputs in automated equipment. Supplied as a complete cable assembly, it routes single-ended position signals while preserving the shield that separates noise-sensitive encoder conductors from adjacent power wiring. The design provides a factory-terminated connector at the sensor end and unfinished leads at the controller side for point-to-point termination inside a cabinet.
The encoder interface uses a female connector shell built to the MS connector pattern, providing bayonet coupling and vibration resistance in demanding motion applications. The shell contains 7 pins; six carry active signals, while the seventh connects the cable shield to the sensor housing. The conductor set contains six dedicated leads, so the lead count accommodates the A, B, Z, and power lines commonly used by single-ended incremental encoders. A braided foil layer provides shielded construction that limits electromagnetic interference affecting the signal conductors. Copper strands sized at 22 AWG and 24 AWG balance the current capacity needed for supply lines with the flexibility required for signal cores. The overall design supports single-ended logic levels without requiring differential drivers.
The operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +105 °C, allowing the cable to withstand cold storage areas and control cabinets that become warm during continuous operation. At the controller side, the jacket is stripped back to expose flying leads, and each conductor has a stripped and tinned tip that can be soldered directly to terminal blocks or pluggable headers. The flying-lead termination allows the harness to be trimmed to the required length before the individual conductors are connected. Supported signaling includes open-collector outputs and push-pull outputs operating through the single-ended topology. This signaling arrangement provides compatibility with common Dynapar encoders and other feedback devices that use matching electrical interfaces.
