Product Description:
The 108594-0030 is an application-specific encoder interconnect manufactured by Danaher as part of the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. The assembly provides a pre-engineered link between shaft-mounted feedback devices and motion controllers in industrial automation. By combining a molded circular connector on the encoder side with open leads for cabinet wiring, the cable carries incremental or absolute position data, power, and reference signals with predictable impedance and shielding, helping maintain signal integrity on conveyors, machine tools, and packaging equipment.
The conductor set is formed from 22 AWG and 24 AWG copper strands, a combination that balances the current capacity of supply lines with reduced capacitance on logic circuits. A braided foil shield with a drain wire surrounds the core bundle and protects signals against electromagnetic noise radiated by servo drives and contactors. At the encoder end, an industry-standard female MS connector mates directly with compatible Dynapar transducers. Six contacts are populated inside the shell, giving the cable a 6-pin interface for power and signal routing. The signals and power connections leave the shell through 5 color-coded conductors, simplifying connection mapping inside control cabinets.
On the control-cabinet side, the insulation is removed and the conductors have a stripped and tinned finish that accepts screw terminals or solder lugs without additional preparation. Because the harness ends in flying leads, the tails can be cut to the required length and routed through gland plates before attachment to I/O cards or terminal blocks. The cable is wired for single-ended signaling, making it suitable for encoders that reference each channel to a common return rather than complementary signal pairs. Its mixed conductor sizes, protective shield, connector arrangement, and prepared lead ends support direct integration into motion axes, gantries, automated inspection stations, and other equipment that uses compatible encoder feedback.
