Product Description:
The 108594-0015 cable assembly is manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It serves as a dedicated feedback link between rotary encoders and motion-control electronics in industrial automation. One side of the assembly connects directly to an encoder housed in a harsh-duty enclosure, and the opposite end supplies open conductors that can be terminated inside a control cabinet without additional adapters.
The encoder side uses a female MS connector with a keyed shell that mates with the sensor’s bulkhead and aligns the encoder’s 6 pins with the harness. Internally, each conductor is part of a shielded bundle, reducing electromagnetic pickup along the cable run. Five individual signal cores provide a 5-lead layout that accommodates standard incremental channels, an index signal, and supply connections. The assembly combines 22 AWG and 24 AWG conductors, allowing the power leads to carry higher current while the logic lines maintain tighter bend radii. The conductors arrive stripped and tinned, and the flying-lead end provides enough bare copper for screw-clamp terminals. The continuous operating temperature range is -20 °C to +105 °C, allowing the cable to be routed through warm motor housings or unheated enclosures.
The assembly has included cable clamps that provide strain relief at the connector, helping prevent conductor fatigue when the cable is flexed during machine service. It uses a single-ended signal format, so it pairs with controllers that accept TTL or HTL signal returns without differential receivers. Compatibility is limited to the Dynapar H20 and HS35 encoder families, ensuring that the pin assignments and housing threads align correctly. At the cabinet end, the flying leads can be routed through glands before termination. Their stripped-and-tinned finish supports quick insertion into pluggable cage clamps or barrier strips.
