Product Description:
The 108241-0075 cable is a feedback interconnect supplied by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Intended for incremental encoder installations, the assembly links a rotating sensor to downstream controllers while carrying power, quadrature channels, and an index pulse for position tracking in automated machinery. A molded connector at the encoder end provides a secure sensor connection, while stripped conductors at the opposite end simplify field wiring. This arrangement supports motion-control applications in conveyors, packaging lines, and automated axis modules without requiring a preassembled drive-side connector.
On the sensor side, the cable terminates in a circular military-style coupling with a female MS connector and a 6-pin insert. This connector pattern is compatible with many Dynapar HS35 and HR series encoders. All conductors use single-ended signaling, so the assembly does not require complementary signal lines. The cable routes the Z channel alongside the A and B phases to provide an index pulse for zero-reference and homing routines. Its six-conductor core also carries a +5 V or +12 V supply and a common return within the same connector shell. Standardized conductor colors and shielding help keep power and feedback connections organized during installation.
The drive-side termination consists of flying leads, allowing each conductor to connect to terminal blocks or directly to a compatible drive connector. The cable uses mixed conductor sizes of 22 AWG and 24 AWG, which support low-current encoder circuits while limiting the overall cable diameter. A total of 6 leads carry the required power and feedback connections. Two conductors carry supply power and the common return, while three conductors transmit the A, B, and Z signals. The remaining connection supports an index output that allows the controller to establish a repeatable reference position after power-up. The stripped, tinned ends are suitable for soldered, crimped, or screw-clamp connections in compact control enclosures.
