Product Description:
The 108241-0060 cable is a specialty accessory manufactured by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Designed for incremental and absolute encoder installations, the cable links rotating feedback devices to drive or PLC interface cards and carries primary quadrature and optional index signals in a single run. Matched-impedance conductors and a compatible connector simplify wiring while supporting accurate position feedback in industrial automation cells and motion-control axes. The cable assembly provides an organized connection between the encoder signals and the associated control equipment.
One end is equipped with a female MS connector that uses a keyed metal shell and threaded coupling to maintain a secure connection under vibration. The contacts are arranged on a 6-pin insert, providing connections for the A, B, and Z signal references. A braided screen encloses the conductors, making the cable shielded to reduce electromagnetic interference from nearby servo drives and welding equipment. The conductor arrangement supports a single-ended output scheme, so the connected controller reads each logic state against a shared return rather than through differential signal pairs. The conductor tips are supplied stripped and tinned, allowing them to connect directly to suitable terminal blocks or solder lugs without additional preparation.
The opposite end of the harness terminates in flying leads, providing flexibility when routing individual conductors to discrete inputs or auxiliary power connections. The assembly has six leads corresponding to its connector pin arrangement, which allows each conductor to carry its assigned signal or electrical connection. Dedicated conductors make the individual connections easier to organize within an enclosure while avoiding unused wires in the cable run. The cable also carries an index channel, enabling the connected drive or controller to capture a zero-position reference without requiring a separate cable. Its shielding and secure connector arrangement support signal transmission in conveyors, gantries, servo presses, and other machinery exposed to vibration and electrical noise.
