Product Description:
The 108241-0025 is a pre-terminated feedback cable produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Designed for industrial automation, it connects a Dynapar incremental encoder to a drive, controller, or I/O rack without requiring additional field crimping. By combining signal and power conductors inside one jacket, the product reduces wiring time and preserves shield integrity between the sensing and control sections of a machine. Its pre-terminated design also reduces the number of separate components needed to establish the encoder connection.
This unit is supplied as a cable assembly, so its length and conductor grouping are fixed at the factory for consistent installation. At the encoder end, a 6-pin female MS connector mates directly with standard Dynapar housings, and its circular shell protects the contact set against vibration. The output type is single-ended, so each channel carries one active line referenced to a common conductor rather than a differential pair. This arrangement simplifies receiver requirements for short cable runs that do not require differential signaling. The six connector positions accommodate power, A, B, common, and auxiliary signals such as an index pulse. The fixed connector and conductor arrangement allows the cable to follow compatible encoder wiring conventions without on-site connector installation.
On the automation cabinet side, the cable ends in flying leads, allowing the conductors to connect to screw terminals, solder cups, or ribbon boards as required by the receiving equipment. The lead bundle contains six leads, with every conductor from the circular connector brought out individually for flexible routing and termination. The assembly also supports an index channel, giving a position controller access to a once-per-revolution marker when the connected encoder provides that signal. Individual lead access makes it possible to separate signal, power, and common connections at the cabinet while retaining the factory-installed connector at the encoder end. The combined arrangement supports basic incremental feedback connections without requiring custom connector fabrication in the field.
