Product Description:
The 108241-0015 is a dedicated interface lead manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. Supplied as a pre-terminated harness, it connects incremental encoders to drives or PLC input cards so that position, direction, and reference signals reach the control cabinet without additional field wiring. By matching the connector shell used on Dynapar encoders, the assembly simplifies installation and preserves signal integrity in industrial automation systems.
This product is delivered as a cable assembly built around a military-style MS circular shell that carries a keyed female insert. Inside the connector, the harness provides 6 leads for power, quadrature, and reference paths. The mating connector uses the same six-position layout, keeping the pin and lead counts consistent. Signal routing follows a single-ended configuration, allowing the encoder signals to share a common return while keeping the overall cable diameter moderate. The contacts are crimped and indexed before delivery, leaving only the fastening of the connector shell to complete a secure connection.
On the opposite end, the jacket is stripped and tinned to provide flying leads, giving panel builders flexibility when landing wires on terminal blocks, screw clamps, or solder lugs. The harness is compatible with 22 encoders with a marker, so the color coding includes a dedicated conductor for the marker channel. In addition to the marker channel, the conductor arrangement accommodates the A and B phase signals required for incremental position and direction detection. Power and signal conductors use 22 AWG and 24 AWG wire, balancing current capacity with the flexibility needed for tight routing spaces. The pre-terminated connector and prepared wire ends reduce the risk of wiring errors that can occur when individual contacts and conductors are assembled at the installation site.
