Product Description:
The 108241-0010 cable is manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It is a dedicated feedback interconnect that links incremental shaft encoders to servo drives or programmable controllers within automated equipment. The assembly is supplied with predefined conductor colors, shield braid, and strain-relief molding so installers can route motion feedback from motors, conveyors, or spindles to control enclosures while maintaining signal fidelity and reducing on-site wiring labor. Standardizing the connection path in this way simplifies troubleshooting and preserves data integrity across high-noise factory environments.
The assembly provides a service length of 10 ft, enough to span typical motor-to-cabinet runs without excess slack that can trap oil or dust. At the encoder end, a circular female MS plug is overmolded onto the jacket; this military-style shell protects the contacts from vibration and mates directly with Dynapar housings. Inside the jacket, the bundle contains a 6-conductor core, so channels A and B, the index pulse, and two supply lines each have a dedicated wire. Those same circuits exit the connector through a 6-pin layout, keeping the pin assignment consistent with manufacturer diagrams. The drive side has flying leads, allowing the conductors to be terminated on screw terminals, IDC headers, or quick-disconnect blocks that match the panel design.
An integrated index channel within the wiring set carries the zero-reference pulse that many drives use for homing routines and rotational error checking. All signal conductors are arranged for single-ended operation, making the cable suitable for encoder models that drive TTL or HTL logic without differential line drivers. The insulation system tolerates continuous conductor temperatures up to 105 °C yet remains flexible down to -20 °C, enabling installation alongside warm motor casings or inside unheated enclosures. These thermal limits help prevent brittleness, maintain dielectric strength, and support repeatable encoder feedback throughout the cable’s service life.
