Product Description:
The 107865-0095 cable assembly is produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It serves as the dedicated link between an AI25 absolute rotary encoder and the downstream control hardware used in industrial automation. By carrying parallel position words and associated control lines, the assembly preserves signal integrity over plant-floor distances and removes the need for field-fabricated wiring.
Its overall reach is 95 ft, allowing the encoder to be mounted well away from a cabinet without requiring intermediate junctions. The wiring follows the AI25 Parallel interface, so each bit of the absolute position word is presented on its own conductor for deterministic readout. A 17-pin circular connector on the encoder side organizes power, data, and status contacts in a keyed shell that resists vibration-induced uncoupling. Signal drivers inside the encoder operate in push-pull mode, which supports reliable signal transmission over long cable runs. The conductors are sized at 24 AWG, keeping loop resistance low while maintaining the flexibility required for routing through industrial machinery.
At the opposite end, the cable is finished with flying leads, allowing each conductor to connect directly to terminal blocks, solder pads, or spring clamps without additional adapters. The encoder-side mating hardware is a female MS connector that uses a threaded coupling for secure engagement during maintenance. Cable routing is simplified by the end-mount strain-relief arrangement, which directs the bundle straight out of the encoder housing rather than along the shaft axis. The assembly supports position data with up to 10-bit or 12-bit resolution, matching the available resolution range of the AI25 encoder. Internally, the bundle carries 17 individually color-coded leads that correspond to the encoder contacts. This conductor arrangement provides separate paths for the parallel position data, power, and associated control signals without requiring logic lines to share individual leads.
