Product Description:
The 107865-0080 is an encoder interface cable produced by Danaher within the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It links an absolute position transducer to downstream control hardware in automated machinery, serving as the dedicated medium for power, signal, and reference lines between the sensor and logic modules. By matching the mechanical and electrical layout of the associated encoder family, the assembly simplifies field wiring and maintains signal integrity in motion-control loops.
This model is matched specifically to the AI25 Absolute encoder and terminates on the sensing side with a keyed female MS connector, which locks to the mating plug to resist vibration. Inside the jacket are 17 individually insulated conductors, providing separate paths for the supply, data, and status lines shown in the encoder pin map. The connector shell attaches to a mounting bracket in an end-mount orientation, so the strain relief points directly away from the encoder body. Signal conductors carry compatible outputs in a parallel push-pull format, allowing the receiving PLC or counter card to sample each bit without differential receivers while providing adequate drive current for typical 5 V logic loads.
The digital word produced by the sensor is carried at a 10/12-bit resolution, and the cable maintains suitable line-to-line impedance for the required bandwidth without excessive crosstalk. Field termination on the control-cabinet side is provided by flying leads. The stripped and tinned ends allow each core to be cut to length before insertion into screw or spring terminals. Current capacity and voltage drop are balanced through copper conductors sized at 24 AWG, supporting the moderate cable lengths commonly used in axis enclosures. The individual leads can be separated and routed to the appropriate input, supply, and reference terminals according to the encoder wiring diagram.
