Product Description:
The 107865-0070 is a pre-terminated encoder cable produced by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. The assembly links an AI25 absolute encoder to control hardware, carrying position words and supply conductors in a single jacketed bundle. Within industrial automation, the cable provides a matched electrical path between a rotating encoder and the motion controller. This connection maintains signal integrity so that servomotor feedback remains accurate during indexing, speed regulation, or coordinated axis movements.
The cable is supplied as a cable assembly, meaning its conductors, shielding, and terminations are factory-installed. Its 17-pin layout concentrates power, data, and spare cores into one connector, minimizing panel bulk while accommodating the full signal set of the AI25. The mating plug has an end-mount orientation, so the harness exits perpendicular to the encoder housing and clears radial obstructions on the machine frame. Push-pull data lines are presented through the parallel push-pull interface. This single-ended method simplifies the drive electronics while tolerating the electromagnetic noise commonly found in large inverter cabinets. The conductor size is 24 AWG, balancing flexibility with the cross-sectional area needed to carry 5 V supply current over runs of several meters.
On the transducer side, the cable uses a female MS connector, a circular military-style coupling that locks with a threaded collar to resist vibration. The controller end has flying leads, allowing the wires to connect to terminal strips, D-sub backshells, or spring clamps as required by cabinet standards. The insulation colors and core count align with the word and parity map of the AI25 absolute encoder, reducing uncertainty during installation. Compatibility is restricted to Danaher position sensors and drives. Using Danaher components throughout the feedback chain maintains shield continuity, pinout consistency, and stable performance during high-resolution positioning. The connector arrangement also allows the controller-side conductors to be routed individually within the enclosure while preserving a secure circular connection at the encoder.
