Product Description:
The 107865-0035 cable is manufactured by Danaher and belongs to the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It is intended to connect position feedback devices to control hardware, carrying electrical signals from the encoder to the drive or PLC in automated machinery. By providing a factory-terminated assembly, it shortens installation time and ensures that each data line maintains the impedance and isolation needed in motion-control environments. For machine builders, this dedicated harness eliminates field crimping errors and supports consistent encoder performance over repeated flex cycles.
The encoder side of the assembly uses a 17-contact insert housed in a female MS connector, so each data, power, or status line is assigned its own pin with keyed alignment for quick mating. Internally, stranded 24 AWG conductors provide a balance between current handling and flexibility, allowing the cable to be routed through energy chains without excessive stiffness. The electrical design supports a push-pull driver topology, enabling rapid transitions while sourcing or sinking current symmetrically. Because the position word is transmitted in true parallel form, the cable is matched to a parallel interface that avoids serialization delays in high-speed axis control.
The connector has an end-mounted orientation, permitting close coupling to encoder housings when axial clearance is limited. The cord set supports absolute feedback devices, so it can carry multi-bit Gray or binary position words alongside power and reference lines. The core bundle contains seventeen individual conductors in an unshielded configuration, reducing the cable diameter while preserving channel separation through color coding. At the control-cabinet end, the insulation is stripped back to expose flying leads, allowing each circuit to be terminated on screw clamps, solder posts, or crimp contacts according to panel requirements.
