Product Description:
The 107865-0010 is a dedicated feedback cable in the Dynapar Encoder Cables series produced by Danaher. It is supplied as a preterminated harness for industrial automation tasks that require direct wiring between an incremental or absolute encoder and controller terminals. The assembly preserves signal integrity during motion-control and positioning routines by providing the required mechanical interface and electrical mapping for a compatible optical encoder.
On the encoder end, the cable uses an end-mount orientation that allows the shell to sit flush against the rear face of the transducer housing. The interface is a female MS connector built to a military circular pattern. Its 17-pin layout accommodates power, differential outputs, and auxiliary functions. The lead set can connect to a panel bulkhead or service cable through a standard MS3106A-20-29S plug, avoiding custom machining or pin changes. Each internal conductor is made of stranded copper and has a cross-section of 24 AWG, balancing mechanical flexibility with the current requirements of typical 5 V or 24 V supply rails. The sheath contains 17 individual cores that run continuously from the connector to the unterminated tail without splices.
On the controller side, the jacket terminates in flying leads, allowing direct insertion into terminal blocks or compatible headers where panel space is limited. The wiring supports the encoder’s parallel push-pull output format, allowing data lines to drive TTL or CMOS inputs without additional line drivers. The cable is compatible with the AI25 encoder family, so Gray code, power, and status conductors align with the encoder’s internal circuitry. Shield continuity is bonded through the connector shell to reduce common-mode noise in electrically active industrial environments. Conductor color coding follows the supplied wiring chart, helping installers identify each connection accurately during panel wiring and system setup.
