Product Description:
The 107865-0005 encoder interconnect cable is manufactured by Danaher for the Dynapar Encoder Cables series. It bridges stationary control panels and rotating feedback devices in automated machinery, delivering both power and parallel position words without added latency. By matching the required conductor count for a specific encoder family, the cable simplifies installation and preserves signal integrity in packaging lines, gantry axes, and indexing tables.
The cable is configured for the AI25 Absolute encoder platform, so its conductor map corresponds to that device’s binary outputs, power supply, and common connections. On the encoder side, an MS female connector is fixed in an end-mount orientation, directing the flex path straight away from the housing. The contact block presents a 17-pin interface that assigns separate paths to each data line, reducing internal crosstalk. Electrical drivers use the parallel push-pull format, allowing each wire to source or sink logic current and eliminating the need for differential receivers over moderate cable runs. The cable uses 24 AWG stranded copper conductors, balancing current capacity with the bend endurance needed for continuous-motion loops.
The harness is supplied with an included mating plug, while the controller end terminates in flying leads so each conductor can be connected to screw terminals or custom breakout assemblies without repinning the encoder connector. The flying leads also permit routing through bulkheads, cable chains, or sealed conduits before the individual conductors are secured at the control panel. PVC insulation tolerates ambient temperatures down to -20 °C during cold starts and up to +80 °C under sustained cabinet heating, keeping the dielectric stable throughout typical machine duty cycles. The jacket protects the stranded conductors as the cable passes between stationary enclosures and moving encoder assemblies. Its termination arrangement supports custom panel wiring while retaining the factory-installed circular connector at the encoder end.
