Product Description:

The M.1017.3101 is a thermocouple input module designed by Danaher to help temperature monitoring in the servo system. This module converts 15-bit digital values into a 4-20 milliampere analogue current signals for each of the four channels it has. It is also equipped with a 24-pin card edge connectors with screw terminals. There are a total of four output channels integrated into this module; its resolution during operation is also about 15 bits or 32,768 steps over a full output range. The power supply required by this product during operation is provided by a 24 volts direct current supply unit with a temperature of about 25 degrees. This power supply unit delivers about 200 milliamperes although an inrush current of between 2.5 to 250 microsecond should be expected at power on. The maximum output frequency is 24 milliamperes, and it also features short circuit protection where current is limited.

The M.1017.3101 is a marked device that conforms to international standards for generic industrial emissions, generic industrial immunity, and low voltage directive requirements. This product unit is also listed as UL and C/UL. The operation temperature permissible for this product unit is between 7 to about 55 degrees Celsius; if the module is to be stored or transported, the ambient temperature it can withstand significantly increases to between -40 to about 85 degrees Celsius.

The M.1017.3101 can withstand up to four shocks per axis. Although its housing is coated, it should not be exposed to water condensation, and humidity levels should be maintained between 5 to 95 per cent. There are four LEDs integrated into the housing of this converter; the LEDs are labelled Data In, Data Out, Configured LED and Power LED. When “Scan Loss” occurs, all outputs are automatically reset to 4 milliamperes.
