The ADP-055-18-S-H is a compact digital servo drive from Copley Controls in the Accelnet CANopen Modules series. Designed for motion applications, the module links directly to a CANopen network while regulating current for brushless or stepper motors. By combining power amplification with high speed control, it supports axes that require precise torque, velocity, and position control in machinery.

It operates from a bus rated at 55 Vdc, allowing use with low voltage DC supplies in mobile or compact equipment. During continuous duty, the drive supplies up to 6 Adc as long as the motor presents at least 200 µH of inductance and 0.075 Ω of phase resistance. For acceleration bursts, the output can rise to 18 Adc for a maximum of 1 s, which helps the axis overcome short peak loads before the controller returns to its limit.

The stage delivers a continuous mechanical output of 0.32 kW, giving smaller axes steady power in continuous operation. It can briefly surge to 0.92 kW to push through inertial loads during rapid starts or recovery moves. Regulation is supported by a current loop updated every 15 kHz, and the encoder interface accepts up to 8 Mcount/s for responsive feedback during positioning tasks.
