Product Description:
The ACP-090-36 digital servo amplifier produced by Copley Controls supports incremental and digital Halls feedback options. The product features open-drain MOSFETs comprising 1 kOhms pull-up resistors as its digital outputs. This device supports the programming of its input resistors in four groups as down to ground or pull up to +5 VDC. The unit has twelve digital inputs. The IN1 input is exclusively dedicated to the Enable function and can't be customized. The status LED glows solid green when the amplifier is enabled and functioning properly.
The product stops its operation when a transient or latching fault is encountered. This device incorporates protection functions for safeguarding against over- or under-voltage and short circuits. The inputs of this amplifier are equipped with high-speed RC filters, which support step/direction, Quad A/B, and CW/CCW functions. They operate at 5 VDC and can work with NPN open-collector drivers that direct current to the ground. This amplifier is not supposed to be operated without a proper grounding connection. The product comprises position control inputs featuring signals in stepper motor format in standalone mode. This device can be configured using the CME2 software and a RS 232 connection. The unit must be connected with cables provided by the manufacturer. Its feedback cable has a molded connector with flying-lead terminations.
This amplifier has an output current based on the motor, motion profile, and load conditions. The product portrays a PWM velocity/torque command. This device doesn't use a heatsink and is meant to be operated within the ambient limits set by the manufacturer. The unit uses its programmable outputs to report a fault. It can operate on a standalone basis. This digital servo amplifier has a robust design.
