Product Description:

The Copley Controls 800-1845 Accelnet CANopen Module is an efficient communication unit that offers a high speed to the motors and high accuracy needed for the complex controlling units and industrial applications. It has 20-90 VDC input power and up to 20A peak currents; thus, it is appropriate for industrial applications. Its digital design supports current, velocity, and position control, enabling high-precision motion management. The module features a 16 kHz center-weighted PWM output for current loops and a 4 kHz output for velocity and position loops, ensuring smooth and accurate motor control.

Another feature of this module is that the CANopen communication and drive signal lines are separated by an isolation system. The isolation mechanism is used to isolate signals and prevent noise from affecting the motor's performance. It minimizes the interference produced by electrical currents and also protects components that are sensitive to voltage shocks. It includes CAN_H, CAN_L, and CAN_GND for ensuring efficient signaling with speeds of up to 1 Mbit/sec for reliable communication. It has high versatility and robust protection features.

The modulation technique used in this CANopen module is the center-weighted PWM with space-vector modulation which is a reliable technique to control 3-phase MOSFET inverters. This technique reduces switching losses and boosts motor performance by effectively utilizing the available voltage supply. As a result, the CANopen Module operates more efficiently with minimum energy wastage. The space vector modulation enables smooth and precise sinusoidal current control in motors, thus ensuring adjustable torque production while maximizing energy density. This specialized modulation technique enables the Copley Controls Accelnet CANopen Module to deliver real-time, and precise motor control for industrial automation and robotics.
