The 800-1785B is a servo drive module engineered by Copley Controls for the Accelnet CANopen Modules series. Operating as a CANopen node, it converts DC bus power into controlled motor current for distributed motion platforms in packaging, assembly, and robotics. Its onboard DSP closes fast current loops locally, reducing demand on the host controller while preserving accurate torque response. The compact housing supports dense cabinet layouts where several axes must fit in limited space.
Under continuous duty, the unit delivers 3 Adc and a sustained output of 163 W. A current-loop bandwidth of 2.5 kHz works with a loop update rate of 15 kHz to reduce phase lag and overshoot during command changes. For machine I/O, the controller includes 9 opto-isolated digital inputs that can handle limit, home, or enable signals.
Dynamic moves are supported by a peak capability of 9 Adc and 490 W for intervals of up to 1 s. Motor windings must present at least 200 µH so current ripple stays within the intended design range.
