Product Description:
The 800-1673A is a compact servo drive from Copley Controls’ Accelnet CANopen Modules series. Designed for mounting near the motor, it conditions DC bus power and delivers controlled current to brushed or brushless actuators. In automated cells, the module supports closed-loop torque, velocity, or position control while exchanging motion commands across a CANopen network.
It operates from a bus of +20 to +90 VDC, allowing use with 24 V logic supplies or higher-energy battery systems. Under continuous duty, it delivers 12 ADC to the motor, and short bursts can reach 36 ADC before current folds back. That output supports a sustained power rating of 1.06 kW and a peak rating of 2.95 kW during acceleration. Peak input current reaches 40 ADC, and output resistance remains low to help limit copper loss.
The control section provides 12 digital inputs for limits, homing routines, and user-defined functions. Three transistor outputs supply 3 status signals to a PLC, and the J2 feedback connector accepts incremental, resolver, or SSI devices for closed-loop operation. That flexibility lets the same drive fit several feedback arrangements without extra interface boards. Switching occurs at 15 kHz, and the motor load must provide at least 200 uH of inductance to keep current ripple within an acceptable range.
Wake Industrial offers a 1-year warranty on this drive and can arrange same-day shipping when schedules are tight. Quotations remain valid for 30 days, which helps with budget reviews. Fast shipping is useful when a failed axis has stopped production without warning.
