The Copley Controls 800-1587B Accelnet CanOPEN Module is a high-performance motion control solution. Data transmission flexibility ranging from 9,600 baud to 115,200 baud is supported by these modules via RS-232 protocol. Data can be transmitted with ASCII or binary protocols and are flexible for use in many industrial applications. The PWM outputs of the module feature U, V and W phases. This module also complies with EMC regulations and meets EN 55011:2009/A1:2010 and Class A EMC standards to minimize electromagnetic interference and facilitate its smooth operation in industrial environments.

The Accelnet CanOPEN Module is designed to be resistant to harsh environments with EN 61000-6-1:2007 standard immunity against electromagnetic interference, and physical shock resistance of ECE R10. These modules are vibration resistant to 2 g peak at sine frequencies from 10 to 500 Hz; and shock resistant to 10 g with 10 ms half-sine pulse. It is reliable for use in mechanically stressed environments. The module is designed for wide operating conditions with 0 to 95% relative humidity. It needs to be cooled down for optimal operation, therefore it features heat sinks or forced air to prevent overheating.

The CanOPEN module features various protection mechanisms such as short circuit protection, including output-output, output-ground, and internal faults protection which help ensure long-term durability and performance. Also, programmable peak and continuous current provide a high-precision current control to protect the module and the system. The motor overtemperature detection feature is also programmable to ensure early warnings in case of overheating. The weight of 0.27 lb without a heatsink of this module makes it a lightweight device as well as efficient and thus a preferred choice for industrial automation.
