Product Description:
Manufactured and commercialized by the American company Copley Controls Corp, the 800-1511 is one of the most versatile digital drives for servomotors. With its various control modes, command interfaces, communication protocols, and feedback types, the 800-1511 can support both brushless and brush servo motors during operation. Brushless servomotors are commonly used for precise and low-noise applications. Brush motors, on the other hand, are common for low-cost and low-power applications, as in the case of manufacturing tools. In total, the 800-1511 can support up to 12 digital inputs and 3 digital outputs. During operation, this servo drive can safely accommodate a maximum DC input voltage of 90 V.
Specifically, the 800-1511 has a nominal DC input voltage range of 20 to 90 volts. At this DC input range, the drive can safely transmit a continuous output current of up to 6 amperes. At most, however, the 800-1511 can withstand, for a concise period of time, a peak amperage of 18 A. The 800-1511 functions mainly as a high-performance DC drive capable of position, velocity, and torque control of various servomotor types. It supports both CANopen and RS232 serial communication protocols. The CAN address selection for this drive is facilitated via a 16-position rotary switch.
Similar to other drives manufactured by Copley Controls, Accelnet panels such as the 800-1511 employ indexer, position, velocity, torque, point-to-point, gearing, camming, and PCT control modes. Aside from its different control modes, the 800-1511 also employs a robust set of protection functions. Some of the protection functions available in the 800-1511 are the HV overvoltage, HV undervoltage, motor overtemperature, short circuit, current limiting, and drive overtemperature. Wake Industrial sells the 800-1511 with a one-year item warranty.
