Product Description:
The XCS1-W0210ABB-01NETTOECNN-S02RSN1NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a Generation 1 ctrlX DRIVE device, it converts three-phase mains power into controlled AC output for servo or induction motors. The converter supports motion applications in material-handling systems, packaging equipment, and general automation cells. Its single-axis design combines power conversion and motor control in one cabinet-mounted unit, reducing the number of separate components required for an individual axis.
Communication is handled through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the drive to connect to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other Ethernet-based controllers without additional communication cards. Its control and power electronics use the ctrlX DRIVE platform, which provides a consistent parameter structure across compatible devices. Thermal loads are removed by internal air cooling; an onboard fan moves air across the heat sink without requiring external ducting. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection, which prevents accidental contact with live parts but requires installation inside a switchgear cabinet. For supply power, the converter accepts three-phase AC from 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10%/-15%, covering common 230 V and 400 V industrial networks.
Motor windings can draw up to 210 A from the output stage, supporting demanding acceleration ramps on high-inertia axes. An integrated braking transistor directs regenerated energy to an external resistor, keeping the DC bus voltage within operating limits during deceleration. Real-time motion commands travel over SERCOS III, providing deterministic update cycles for position, velocity, and torque control. Integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) disables the power-stage gate signals when the STO input is activated, stopping torque generation without relying on mechanical relays. The drive is supplied without a front panel and includes a multi-encoder interface that supports different motor feedback devices. It uses Version 02 of the current DRIVE Runtime for its control functions.
